Gyproc internal linings for the Rainscreen works – performance with reassurance.

British Gypsum are the manufacturers of Gyproc plasterboards, which provide a high performance internal lining for the Rainscreen wall construction. This lining protects the external steel system in the event of fire, contributes to overall acoustic performance and provides a flat, impact resistant surface that will help to maintain an attractive internal appearance throughout the building’s life. A close working relationship with Metsec over many years, coupled with British Gypsum’s market leading expertise in drywall construction, has enabled us to develop complete Gyproc lining specifications that precisely match the exacting technical requirements of this building system, where the lining boards are fixed directly to the Metsec sections.

These linings have been thoroughly tested, both in isolation and as part of the system, at British Gypsum’s ‘Building Test Centre’ at East Leake, in Leicestershire, where our unique knowledge of drywall construction combines with Europe’s leading fire, acoustic and structural test facilities, to ensure that our boards will always perform to specification.
